Crossfit Sugarland Early Morning WOD
Today I went to Crossfit Sugarland to do an early morning workout. Luckily, for me I was a little sleepy this morning and didn’t fully digest the workout on the board. Had I registered that there would be 75 Burpees and 75 box jumps, I might have thought I was having a nightmare. :

Long Distance Blues
Got up this morning really excited. I have some new running shoes I was itching to run in. Unfortunately, my run was a bit too long for new shoes. I intended to run almost 11 miles. Everything was ok until about mile 9. I started having issues in my instep. Had to walk the last 2, very disappointing.
Saturday Workout
Today I returned to the cool park. Unfortunately, I went at a time when Katy Fit was having their long run, so parking was a nightmare.
I carried a 1 pd Kettlebell with me about 1/2 mile to get to the area. I was glad I did not grab the 1.5 pd as it would have been a long walk. Here is what I did:
Five 3 minute segments with 1 minute in between
Within each segment As Many Rounds as Possible of:
1 modified Rope climb
5 push ups
10 KB Swings
Each segment I completed 4 rounds. So 20 modified rope climbs, 100 push ups, and 200 KB Swings. Not bad, my grip was fried afterwards.

Thursday Workout
Discovered this park near me that has a cool outdoor parent/kid fitness park. It is set up like an obstacle course of sorts. There are dip stations, monkey bars, climbing towers, chin up stations, decline sit up station and a climbing rope which makes it rule! A dad of one of my son’s classmates, told me about it.So yesterday morning, I checked it out.
I was going to do the Crossfit WOD of 2 Muscle Ups, 4 Handstand Push ups and 8 KB swings, as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes. I totally scaled as I do not have a muscle up nor a handstand push up. So I subbed 6 pull ups/6 dips, and Pike Push ups with feet on a bench. I had a 1 pd KB in the car, so I used that, I wish I would have brought my 1.5 pd.
Anyway I warmed up with some joint mobility, 1 rope climb and 400 m run. As for the WOD, 11 rounds in 20 minutes. And I finished with a rope climb
